About Pilates
Pilates is a so-called low impact gymnastics. This involves respecting the body as much as possible, particularly the joints, spine and perineum. But without impact does not mean easy, quite the contrary. To strengthen the muscles in depth, each movement must be performed with control and precision. We are not looking for performance or speed, but just the right movement as well as a perfect connection of body and mind.
Breathing and concentration are essentiel to achieve this. Pilates helps improve posture, develop posture, balance and strength. The goal of the Pilates method is to make you strong like a Greek column and flexible like a cat.

Pilates Reformer ou mat ?
The Pilates that I offer for private lessons is practiced on a mat with or without accessories. But Pilates can also be practiced on different machines : reformer, chair, cadillac... There is no one better option than another. These are just complementary approaches. The mat makes it easier to practice at home or on vacation.
